I really enjoy reading this series with the lovely setting of Hawaii, great characters, and light humor. In Death at the Spring Fling, we are back with Kiki, her boyfriend Dex, landlord Auntie Akamai, and Detective Ray. The spring dance is interrupted when a guy is found stabbed. Kiki and Dex agree to investigate when his former girlfriend asked them to help. This is a very interesting and unusual mystery to solve with lots of different suspects, twists and turns. I did not guess whodunit. Not a clue. I think that of this series written by different authors, this is probably my favorite group of characters. Expect romance and a surprise ending in addition to a great mystery.

This was so incredibly good. Really kept me guessing. The attitude of Ruby was quite entertaining.

I don't think that I really need to say anything when it comes to the Aloha Lagoon Mystery series published by Gemma Halliday Publishing seeing as there are twenty-one books in this amazing series with the twenty second being released soon !!! But I will seeing as I LOVE this series and everything about it.

First I believe it needs to be mentioned that this series is written by numerous authors. These authors write about their own characters and storyline with a few things in common with the other books ... they all center around the Aloha Lagoon Resort on Kauai in Hawaii, the businesses are the same in every book and the detective assigned to each murder is always Detective Ray Kahoalani .... and yes there is ALWAYS a murder to solve.

In Death at the Spring Fling by Rosalie Spielman main character Kiki Hepburn is just trying to spend time with her gorgeous boyfriend Dex, work with him and his father at the Aloha Lagoon Dive Shop, and hang out with her landlady Auntie Akamai, who is Dex's aunt.

Unfortunately at the Spring Fling, which Kiki and Dex helped decorate, they come across a dead body and Kiki's kind of enemy Ruby standing over the deceased holding the murder weapon !! Of course Ruby denies killing Riley who is her ex-boyfriend. But she doesn't make things better when she goes in hiding !!

Kiki has no intentions of looking into the murder like she has in the past. The only reason she has done it before is because she needed to clear someone she loved or she was asked. There is no way Ruby will ask her to look into Riley's murder especially seeing as the two do not get along. So I am sure everyone will be shocked when Ruby does ask for help ... Kiki's help !!

So Kiki decides to look into Riley's murder but in order to do that she is going to have to rely on Dex. Dex ends up going undercover by getting a job doing deliveries on his bike, even though he could do it with his Jeep, to help see what Riley was doing.

Readers will be hooked from the beginning of this book as well as all the previous books in this amazing series !! It is always a treat when you can get lost at the Aloha Lagoon Resort with whichever characters and author you pick !! This will easliey become a favorite of yours and you will be on the look out for future books so that you can dive right in !!!

Another interesting murder mystery at the Aloha Lagoon, and the third by this author. It's fun to have another "visit" with Kiki, Dex, Auntie Akamai, and the dive boat complete with Spam sandwiches. Like visiting an old friend, the reader slips into their "world" as if no time had passed. This had an unusual plot with so many red herrings and subplots that the author managed to surprise me in the end. I like the way multiple unknowns, innocent mysteries, and duplicities combined to make a story that kept it's momentum up to the very end. I look forward to more of Kiki and crew in Aloha Lagoon in the future! Kupaianaha!

I love the Aloha Lagoon series! If you haven’t read it, start with “Ukulele Murder”. That way you get to get all the background on all of the different characters. This series is written by different authors, all keeping to the theme of Aloha Lagoon and the resort. The characters are fun and interesting - some are native Hawaiian and some are from the mainland. All of the characters know each other and each book takes one or more as their main characters. The storylines, all set in beautiful Hawaii, are very interesting. The books are fast paced and easy to read. Read and enjoy!

Deliveries and flings in the spring

It's springtime and what could be better than to have a fling at the Aloha Lagoon Resort. The dive shop where Kiki Hepburn works is happy to sponsor the Under the Sea event. That is until Kiki and her boyfriend find her former foe kneeling over a bloody bike-delivery person's dead body with scissors in her hand. Ruby asks Kiki for help to prove her innocence. To do so, Dex goes undercover as a bike-delivery service which appears to deliver more than goods.

Death at the Spring Fling is a fast paced, twisted mystery with lots of suspects! I really enjoyed this well plotted mystery with the inaugural spring fling, mysterious bicycle deliverymen, a tree trimming cougar, and our usual cast of characters. There is a lot going on, a red herring or two, and Kiki will have to sort out all the clues. I could not put it down!

The Aloha Lagoon books are great. Each author that writes one brings an amazing mystery and characters to the series. They do not need to be read in order, but it's a lot of fun if you do. In this installment, Kiki and Dex happen to catch the aftermath of a murder and Kiki's rival, Ruby, is holding the weapon, but did she do it? It's a fun mystery to solve.
