Are you currently recruiting and finding that you've not had as many applications as you had hoped? If so, take a look at the job advert that you've been using. Many businesses don’t make their job adverts attractive … have a read of your last advert, would you want to work there?!Here are a few key points to consider:➡ Do you have a short introduction about your company, when was it formed, its' history, the industry? ➡ Is a typical day in the role outlined?➡ Have you provided more info about your company such as links to your website, socials and any other online content that candidates can easily click to find out more?Once you've re-worked your ad, take a look at where you've been advertising it. Are you posting it in the places where your ideal candidate will see it?➡ Facebook - posting in different job group or community groups in your given area➡ Indeed - offers free adverts, try the advert without sponsoring for the first couple of weeks to see who applies➡ LinkedIn- you can create a free job advert and then share with your professional network on LinkedIn➡ Instagram – use the relevant hashtags to increase reach➡ Handshake – an idea platform if your role is suitable for graduates➡ Nextdoor – a local community platformDon’t forget to ask your candidates where they saw the job advert, so you know next time what works well for you and your business! If you are recruiting currently and are at the point where you’d consider outsourcing part or whole of your process, we’d be happy to chat to see how we can support. We can be reached on 0114 400 0202!#recruitmenttips #jobadvert #idealcandidate #sheffieldjobs

When will it be my turn 😔😔😔...This is the question most of us keep asking on LinkedIn whenever we see someone post about the gigs or jobs they got from LinkedIn. But have you tried going through your profile again and ask yourself some questions? Did you define the services you offer there?Do you show up to talk about what you say you do on your Resume? Then there's another category of people who don't post or comment on LinkedIn at all. They just come to this app, apply for jobs and they are off. When you tell them people are getting jobs on LinkedIn, they will tell you it's a lie and narrate how they applied for 500 jobs on LinkedIn without any results. Meanwhile, this person doesn't have a single post on his or her profile. Why am I writing this, I had an opportunity to recruit for a position last week on LinkedIn here. A contract position. While on the lookout for the best person for the position, these were the things I noticed;1. Most people just see job adverts and apply without reading. 2. Most people have an excellent resume, but their profile doesn't reflect what they have on their CVs. 3. Most people constantly repost other people's posts without making a single post. Now this brings me to ask these questions,Do you think those who post job adverts here don't have a reason for coming here to post job adverts? Do you think they don't go through the profiles of applicants? If a potential employer stumbles on your profile what are they going to see? Constant reposting of other people's posts? Now look at your profile. Yes you, I am talking to you. If you are in a position to hire someone with your kind of profile, would you hire the person? It is time for you to show up and breathe your personality into your profile. Trust me, I made these mistakes and that is why I am writing about it to open your eyes so you can take action. I know better now though I am still learning. See, you don't have to be a professional writer. You don't have to be perfect. But please show up and keep showing up. I hope this helps someone today. I remain your organized V.A., Social Media Manager, Administrative Manager and Business Developer. Have a lovely week. 😍 #MondayMotivation #LinkedIn #LinkedInprofile #LinkedInjobs #takeaction

⭐ You've probably heard that you need a keyword optimised LinkedIn profile. But what on earth does that mean?Recruiters and hiring managers search for candidates using keywords related to the job and industry. ⭐ Keywords are things like job titles and the main words from the job selection criteria (found in the job ad or position description). So you need to include relevant keywords in these sections of your profile to increase your chances of appearing in search results:➡️ Headline - overwrite the headline (which defaults to your current job title) to add in lots of keywords. ➡️About section - this is like your professional profile from your resume. Lots of room for lots of keywords!➡️Experience - in particular the job titles (if your job titles don't accurately describe the job you did, you could put an equivalent job title (in brackets)).➡️Skills sections - add up to 50 relevant skills and reorder them so your top 3 appear at the top of the list.Need help with LinkedIn?
