89, a landscape architect and city planner who formerly worked in Omaha, will be held Saturday in Wilmette, Ill. Oneal died Aug. 22 of heart failure at his retirement home in Bradenton, Fla. Oneal and his wife, Virginia, lived in Omaha from 1950 to 1970. when he worked for Leo A.

Daly Co. as vice president and master planner. Oneal, a a a a a a a graduate of the University of Illinois, directed master plans for the cities of Omaha, Council Bluffs and Sacramento. Calif. He served as president of the Nebraska chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1969.

One of his last projects before retiring from the Daly company in 1970 was to plan sites for the first series of buildings at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Dr. Robert Oneal of Ann Arbor, a sister; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Clouds Rule Skies In Metropolitan Area Clouds dominated the skies and the air was heavy with the promise of rain in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area Wednesday, but not more than a trace fell after daylight. Winds were brisk in Nebraska and western Iowa.

Scattered showers struck western Iowa in the evening. Flooding was a problem in Hamburg at the Nishnabotna River. Temperatures were mainly in the 50s and 60s, but the state high was 84 in Falls City. Mrs. Howe, 96, died last Thursday of natural causes at a nursing home in Lincoln, said her daughter-in-law, Millie Howe of Lincoln.

Mrs. Howe lived in Omaha with her husband, Donald K. Howe, for about 70 years, her daughter-in-law said. Howe died in 1984. Mrs.

Howe moved to Lincoln about nine years ago to be near her son, Donald, and her daughter-in-law.
